Led by singer-songwriter Martin Saz, Mon Electric Bijou was formed in 2002 in Montreal, Canada. Mon Electric Bijou's debut album, Songs Made From Plastic, on which The Saz was for the most part the only musician on it, was considered by many as raw and unpolished rock n roll. After the album was released, The Saz needed a time-tested band to recreate the emotional vibes of the album. He then called his loyal friends, Jason Sanchez and Martin Guilbo, to join his speeding wagon. Inspired by the Keith Moon-Muppets style of Jason Sanchez and by the soulful-immature bass licks of Martin Guilbo, The Saz quickly wrote new songs for what would become Bijou's upcoming album, If Blood Could Speak. Freshly released, If Blood Could Could Speak comes across as a profound personal statement, the outpourings of a mind struggling to make sense of fifty years of music..
