In many ways, Out Of Souvenirs is a throwback to the early era of Mon Electric Bijou. Its production is brash, channeling garage acoustics and deceptively sparse arrangements. The band’s early work echoes in surreal imagery, delightful jangly guitar riffs, and grainy sound quality.

Martin Saz’s long-time foil Christian Aubin dutifully turns up to provide his Neu!/Television songwriting rations. His contribution is now a crucial part in Mon Electric Bijou’s soundscape direction.

The team doesn’t stop experimenting with their craft. They continue to out-weird themselves with the blaring, instrumental romp “Spiked Drink” and keep MEB’s signature sound alive and well with ‘’Duck, You Summer!’’ and “Three-Way Script”.
